Apple How do I avoid using the secure delete function on my Mac?

Having troubles deleting files and using the trash functionality normal or is deleting files taking waaay to long on your Mac?

Shut off the Secure Delete Function in the Finder.  Use only if you don't have sensitive data on your laptop.

-Go the trash icon in the dock and right click, select open
-The finder window should open with trash as the title.  Or go directly to the Finder.
-Go the Finder menu | go to Preferences | Go to the Advanced icon 
-Within the advanced menu deselect "Empty Trash Securely"
